The Daily Sacrifice

Some insights  that carry some food for thought in some of the  areas that the Holy Spirit is leading me thru in my life.  Jesus, Yeshua, The Messiah, Lord, and Savior.... The King of Kings and Lord of Lords.

Broad is the way and wide is the gate that leads to destruction, and many there be which go thereat. Straight is the gate and narrow is the way that leads to eternal life. and few  there be who find it.

First it needs to be said that these seem like reasonable observations that need to be wondered about.
I am not trying to cause anyone grief over the things written here. The idea that
an organized, institutional religious system needs to be set up
with persons of Authority (Titles of Position) concerns me.

It seems that the Gospels direct us to tell everyone to trust in Jesus leaving us in the hands of G-d's advocate, The Holy Spirit ... and ... that our responsibility is to lead others to that advocate.
The Gospel is the story of how Jesus purchased that advocacy for us with his life.

It is a wonder to me  that when the disciples were told by the Son of God to " Go into the whole world and preach the GOSPEL" to every creature, that there was not a Bible or a New Testament in existence at that time.

Even a week later there was still no Bible or New Testament : Another week goes by and still no Bible or New Testament, and so on and so on thru the lifespan of their great commission.

It seems like in today's times  the "Great Commission" has been redesigned by someone or something to be sold to us as "Go into the world and teach the Bible to everyone, and make sure they go to church.  I have a difficult time buying into that, because it just doesn't really seem to be quite the same thing. I know to most people it does seem to be the same thing, but I can't buy into it myself.

Did Jesus (Himself) come to earth so that He could "Teach The Bible"?  and make sure that everyone went to church?

 I don't think so.
